St. Anthony Regional Hospital
For more than a century, St. Anthony Regional Hospital and Nursing Home has demonstrated commitment to the healthcare needs of its community. St. Anthony is a 99 bed facility connected to a 79 bed nursing home with over 640 employees between the main campus and 5 outlying clinics. The Food & Nutrition department operates the St. Anthony Café from 7:00am to 6:15pm, offering a full hot breakfast, with a large selection for lunch and dinner. The Café processes an average of 10,000 transactions per month using the Maitre’D POS system with 25% of those from non-empoyees.
“Our main goal was to invest in a system that had extensive, but useful, on-site sales reports available, that was easy to use and train on, with the proven ability to integrate an Employee Payroll Deduction for staff” says Matt Loneman, Director of Food & Nutrition at the St. Anthony Hospital.
Since the hospital installed Maitre’D, the sales of the establishment’s cafeteria have climbed 28% and transactions have steadily increased 11%. Further more, the Hospital was able to better respond to customer preferences and adjust their offerings: “By using the report center from Maitre’D, we have been able to be more responsive to our customer’s purchases and preferences, by altering the menus and the mixes on the menus to meet the customer’s demands while exceeding our budgetary goals.” Loneman states.

St. Anthony’s System
St.Anthony is currently using the Employee Payroll Deduction application developed by Midlands Business Equipment and that is interfaced with Maitre’D’s Accounts Receivable module. St.Anthony is also using Maitre’D’s Back Office application for administrative access to the Reporting Center, the back-up server and scale. Their system implementation, sales, training and support are all provided by Midlands Business Equipment in Iowa, an authorized Maitre’D Reseller for the area.
